At Quiet Acres we hire local students for jobs like picking, packing, selling, and fieldwork. The jobs available are various enough to be suitable if you're between junior high and the end of university. We have had some great students work for us for up to six years in a row.
The physical outdoor jobs keep you fit, and the hours are wonderful for making money. (Up to 60 or 70 hours per week, but you can work part time just on weekends if you want.)
If you apply, you'll likely start by working piece work during a trial period, then you'll move to hourly if you're a dedicated worker and we have enough work.
Read the descriptions under full time summer employment and part time summer employment for an idea of what goes on at the farms. Follow the application procedure under either of those headings. We would like you to send a resume with your application, but a resume is not needed if you're young. If you don't have a resume, just send a letter or stop by the farm.
You can apply any time of the year, but earlier (before mid-June) is best.
